Denise Ferrarini, Postdoctoral Researcher in the Astiz Lab, gave the talk entitled “Unravelling the ontogeny of the mouse master clock” as part of the Achucarro Internal Seminar Series on June 12, 2025. Denise explained very clearly how she is investigating whether neurons and astrocytes within the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) share a common clonal origin and spatial organization, with the aim to describe how those two cell types relate functionally in the circadian network assembly. This research line is part of the ERC-funded StarTicking project which seeks to answer the question of when and how the circadian clock starts ticking.
Denise worked hard to prepare the talk, and it paid off with interesting questions from the audience and well-deserved congratulations.
Well done, Denise! 👏🏽
